Historic Bedford is centrally located between the Washington D.C., Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg metropolitan areas, and is just a few minutes from the Bedford Exit (146) on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.


Directions are provided below for your convenience.

From the North:
Take Route I-99 south to Bedford exit. Turn right on Business Route 30 and go 1/2 mile into town. Turn right at Juliana Street and go three blocks. The Chancellor's House is on your left at the end of the block.

From the South:
From Washington D.C. take I-70 north to Breezewood. Turn left on Route 30 and go 15 miles to Bedford. Beyond the bridge, bear left onto Business Route 30. Turn left at Richard Street. Go three blocks and turn right at Watson Street. At the end of the block on the right is The Chancellor's House.

From the East:
From Harrisburg, take the PA Turnpike (76) to Bedford exit 146. Turn right on old Route 220 and go 2 miles to downtown Bedford. Stay on this road and go three blocks. Turn right on Watson Street and go to the end of the block. The Chancellor's House is on your right on the corner. If you are driving to Bedford by way of Route 30, remember to bear to the left and take Business Route 30 into town. Drive through the business district and turn left at Juliana Street. Go three blocks to the corner of Watson and Juliana. We are on the corner on the left.

From the West:
Take the PA Turnpike (76) east to Bedford exit 146. Turn right on old Route 220 and go 2 miles to downtown Bedford. Stay on this road and go 3 blocks to Watson Street. Turn right and go one block to Juliana Street. The Chancellor's House is on your right.
